Lemon, chocolate and a good night kiss
I make a cocoa’s bed and lay chocolate’s sheets over.
With a good night kiss, I put cream and lemon to sleep.
Lemon and chocolate pie
Serves 6:
Crust:
175 g wheat flour
25 g cocoa
25 g icing sugar
125 g cold butter, diced
1 large egg yolk
2 tbsp cold water
a pinch of salt
75 g 60% dark chocolate, grated
Combine together dry ingredients.
Add butter and blend.
Add egg yolk and water.
Wrap tightly and refrigerate (1 hour).
Roll out the dough (5mm thick).
Transfer the rolled dough to a 23 cms diameter pan.
Dock the bootom of the crust to prevent it from bubbling up, cover with wrap film and refrigerate for 2 hours (minimum) or overnight.
Pre-heat the oven to 180º C.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes.
Take out the foil and bake for 5 minutes more.
Remove from oven and spread the grated chocolate.
Let it cool down.
Filling:
3 lemons (fine zest and 150 ml of sieved juice)
150 g sugar
4 large eggs
150 ml double cream
Icing sugar to sprinkle
Pre-heat the oven to 170ºC.
Mix together the juice, zest and sugar, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves.
Add the eggs and cream while stirring until creamy.
Pour the filling over the crust and bake for 50 minutes.
Remove from oven and let it cool down before unmould.
Serve chilled.
You can sprinkle with icing sugar before serving, I don’t think it’s necessary.

So gorgeous. I love lemon and chocolate together. I will be making this sometime soon. Thanks for the lovely recipe.
Leonor- The flavor of the chocolate and lemon sound perfect together!
Do you have a cookbook? Own your own business? I’m so fastinated with your baking and photos!!
I adore lemon and dark chocolate together and it is so hard to find recipes for that combo. I will put this on my must try list right away!
oh my goodness–so pretty, and poetic!
Looks absolutely FABULOUS! Two of my favorite flavors in one
Looks succulent, and beautiful photos as always!
Your pictures are such a delicatessen

Looks and sounds like the perfect combination to me, Leonor.
Every time I look at foodgawker I can pick your things out straight away. I adore your recipes and your little quotes are wonderful!! Thanks.. my little angel cakes turned out beautifully, by the way..
Stunning pictures! I am totally wanting a piece of that!
Today I feel that I’m superior to all the rest of you… I’m visiting Leonor and Miguel and I was allowed to whiteness 3 arts – pastry, photography and poetry – coming together in perfect harmony.
Now I’m addicted and I need this cake… everyday! I’m even considering moving to Palma just to increase my probability of trying a few more.
I was also able to try this “piece of heaven” and I have to say that I could only stop when there was nothing left
Congratulations and keep up the excellent work!
Fabulous! Great post! Ciao from Italy
Absolutely delectable. Lemon and chocolate are two of my favorite ingredients, but I have never used them in a recipe together before.
Gorgeous flavors– my type of good night kiss
Looks wonderful and luxurious!

ooh, lemon and chocolate. what a great flavor combination! this looks absolutely delicious!
This looks so beautiful, I have to make it today.
I have a question, do you beat the eggs and cream into the sugar/lemon mixture? It says stir, but I just wanted to clarify. Could I whisk it in?
Your photos are beautiful.
I use to strictly follow the recipe but I guess that you can try “your” way…
Please let me know how that came up!
(I’m sorry for my late answer but I was traveling and it was impossible for me to get back to you sooner.)
